Mrs. Martin
Mrs. Martin was nominated as the March Staff Member of the Month. The students nominated Mrs. Martin for her character and for the extensive list of "behind the scenes" contributions she makes to the school. Mrs. Martin makes the library a welcoming place to be. The students commented how they love the decorations Mrs. Martin puts up around the library (especially the snowflakes). Mrs. Martin is the most welcoming part of the library; she is very friendly. One student pointed out that Mrs. Martin never yells when students turn in overdue books. Mrs. Martin does so much for the students aside from her work in the library. She hosts breakfasts and book club meetings to discuss books and she recognizes students for going above and beyond in their reading. Mrs. Martin plans the Children's Literature Festival Trip each year for our school's top readers. This year the 7th grade students will be taking a trip to the Holocaust Museum in St. Louis. The students are so excited about this trip and Mrs. Martin did all of the planning to make this possible. These are only a few of the numerous contributions Mrs. Martin makes to our students. Thanks Mrs. Martin for all you do!
